I hope you all had a lovely August and enjoyed your holidays despite the recent heatwaves.

This month, we have details of our Murder Mystery Evening and our beautifully cast winter production, A Bunch of Amateurs, together with performance dates and booking information.

Murder on the Charity Walk, written and directed by Pip Rolls – one night only: Saturday 26 September 2026

Join us on Saturday 26 September at 7.30pm at Riddell Hall for a new murder mystery full of intrigue. Expect clues, red herrings, suspicious characters and plenty of table-by-table detective work as you try to crack the case before the culprit is revealed.

Tea and coffee  will be provided, but please bring your own snacks, soft drinks and welcome to bring your  own alcohol. Tickets cost £10 per person.

A Bunch of Amateurs by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman, directed by Mel McCabe – Thursday 26, Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November 2026

Rehearsals are well under way for this warm-hearted comedy by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman. A fading Hollywood actor arrives in England expecting to perform King Lear in Stratford-upon-Avon, only to find himself with a village amateur dramatic group. As egos clash and rehearsals unravel, he discovers that amateur theatre may offer more than he imagined.
